Heading Home!
There’s nothing like going home. This tour has been great. First of all, I love those with whom I traveled. I got to know everybody a little bit better. There weren’t any melt downs and I think everybody had a good time. But the highlight for me was singing for the Romanians. Their excitement was finally understood when I got a message from one of them who told me while they were under communist rule they would watch smuggled-in Gaither videos at their pastor’s home with pillows in the windows so the police wouldn’t catch them. They could get several years in prison if caught. They had to keep the sound very low. So to be able to worship in person with us, at full volume, was an experience they could only dream about a few years ago.
Now I’m headed home. I look forward to seeing my dogs and friends and eating egg rolls at my favorite Chinese restaurant.
